We know that gastronomy is increasingly becoming an active part of any trip. And of course, it would not be less so on an island like Mallorca, which can boast of having one of the best cuisines in the country. That is why in this post we want to share with you a selection of the best restaurants in Mallorca where you can enjoy the best traditional cuisine, the best local products and unbeatable value for money.
Although we know that it is impossible to include in a few lines all the delicious dishes that you should not miss, we do want to talk about some of them so that you have a small sample of the Mallorcan recipe book and you can start to savour the island while you organise your trip. Some of our favourites are coca de Trampó, which is a kind of pizza-like dough to which vegetables are added and is usually eaten as an appetizer or starter; tumbet, which is a dish made with vegetables to which a tomato sauce is added; frito mallorquín, which is one of the most traditional recipes and is made with vegetables and meat, or the world-famous sobrasada (which is a delicacy), without forgetting the ensaimada, which is the eternal emblem of the islands, and alioli, our favourite starter in the world.
Based on the various occasions we have travelled to the island, the last time we stayed in Palma for a week to update the guide and this post on places to see in Mallorca, we leave you with what we consider to be the best restaurants to eat in Mallorca.
